Star Wars is universally well known so it’s no surprise that it need to pop up in other nations in some condition or trend. Nebuta is a competition in Northern Japan in which they create giant illuminated floats out of washi (hardened Japanese paper) and a bamboo body.
To rejoice the new Star Wars series, a number of floats were designed depicting people from during the series. It’s fitting as Japanese record and society motivated the Star Wars universe.
