Soon after charming us with his lovely pics of the

underbellies of cats, Lithuanian photographer Andrius Burba is back with a new series of Underlook images. This time, he’s captured the underbelly of our equine close friends with Underneath-Horse.

Every horse is set in opposition to a stark black track record, which permits us to concentrate on the striking, muscular beauty of the animals. Leaping gleefully, it’s difficult not to feel the energy that radiates off the visuals. However, photographing these big, swish horses was not an simple feat.

The project took two months, with above 40 men and women helping. “As I started to arrange the photoshoot of a horse, I understood that all I required is to get 600 kg horse on a glass, dig three meters into the ground, set my digital camera beneath a big glass, and choose a shot,” Burba reveals. “I have observed horse-pleasant environment[s] and even built rubber horseshoes, to preserve the glass from scratching.”

Burba’s tenacity paid off in the effects. Stretching and bending their muscular bodies, just about every horse is magnificently captured in a method that highlights their specific personalities. With a knack for demonstrating the electric power and pleasure of the horses, Burba has taken his effective series to a new amount.

Want a piece of Underneath-Horse at home? Burba is promoting limited version prints that will also go toward supporting his following aim for the series, Underneath-Tiger.

In the finish, the two month resourceful approach was nicely worthy of the remaining effects! Future, Burba designs to tackle a much more dangerious animal—tigers.
