Suspension bridge "Europabruecke" was opened on July 29, 2017 after it was built to replace the old crossing, which was damaged by falling stones.
This is a record 1620 feet in length and at the highest point of 278 feet in height. Below is the Grabenhufer ravine, an area at the foot of the highest mountain in Switzerland - House - an altitude of 14,911 feet. The bridge is part of the pedestrian route between the cities of Zermatt and Grachen and includes views of the legendary Matterhorn.
