Tom Pierce is a British documentary photographer and film director who currently lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa. Tom spent eight days in the mountain villages of Siemonkong, Lesotho, photographing local horsemen and shepherds.

Situated at an altitude of 2,275 meters above sea level, many areas in Lesotho are inaccessible by car. At great distances between cities and manors, people often use horses and donkeys to commute and move their livestock between pastures.
"The country is beautiful, and I was stunned by how majestic men looked at their horses, like knights going into battle. For two separate visits, I spent 8 days wandering around the mountains and photographing the people I encountered, "he said.
