Volvo Trucks North America recently unveiled an impressive record when launching its new Volvo VNL truck series. By allowing 3-year-old Joel Jovin to release a full-sized truck, he not only showed a truck developed in the US, but also helped to achieve the official title of the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS for the largest object without a box.
In the video, viewers will first see Jovin's excitement when he sees an extremely large box of 80x14x18 inch toy trucks sitting outside in a residential area and then his excellent reaction when he releases the new Volvo Model VNL. Yovin also sits in the cockpit for inspection on his own experience, and then travels with a professional driver.
"The definition of the name GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS was truly remarkable, but the most pleasant thing for me was that Joel was so excited to see that the new Volvo VNL 760 showed when he opened the box," said Magnus Koyek, Vice president of Marketing and brand management for Volvo Trucks North America. "It's a great feeling to know how young and old are so close to Volvo Trucks and our values."
To install the record, the box had to fully encapsulate the Volvo VNL, and then it had to be opened manually, without the use of tools. Volvo VNL had to be removed from the box without destroying the box during the process. The box also had to be made from ordinary box materials - cardboard and cellophane - but the internal fittings were allowed until it was distracted from the unpacking experience.
